LanzaTech is turning our global carbon crisis into a feedstock opportunity with the potential to displace 30% of crude oil use today and reduce global CO2 emissions by 10%. Lanzatech works on gas fermentation technology using microbes that consume carbon-rich gases (rather than sugars, as in traditional fermentation) and residues, and transform them into useful liquid fuels and chemicals. For example, together with INVISTA, lanzatech will produce butadien from CO and together with PETRONAS in Malaysia CO2 will be converted to chemicals.
